I've mentioned to some of you already that the union workers of The Honolulu Advertiser have been working under a contract extension since their contract expired last June. Negotiations have not gone well.
Yesterday, union workers voted 358-17 to authorize a strike. This means that the union workers are united in striking if an agreement with Gannett cannot be reached. Hopefully, this shows management that the union is serious and some quality negotiations can begin.

Thanks for the update. I was wondering how things were progressing. Though it's a bummer that negotiations weren't fruitful, I hope that Brian and his fellow employees win out in the end.
